We all watched on television Trump inciting the mob to attack the Capital and attempt to overturn the results of a free and fair election.
On the 5 year anniversary of January 6, 2021, Trump is trying to make us forget what happened. Even the petty removal of the plaque honoring law enforcement on that day is not beneath Trump.
This was released right after the 5 year anniversary of Jan 6 in response to Trump and his minions trying to minimize all that was awful on that day 5 years ago.
The purpose was to show the horrors of Jan 6 starting with Trump’s speech egging on the rioters, then showing the violence after.
Cartoon Trump tries to tell us that Jan 6 was nothing. Or that it didn’t really happen.
When news that they were hiding the plaque honoring police officers who were assaulted that day, I found this particularly galling.
Americans remember Jan 6 because we all saw it with our own eyes.
I received MAGA comments saying “only” one officer died as a result. And it was the FBI that was smashing windows. Great I guess one can twist reality to just about anything.
