Epstein’s Back, Time to Distract

Epstein's Back, Time to Distract
November 17, 2025
After the government shutdown is ended, Trump is dogged by more information about the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
The government shutdown is just over, and Trump while trying to take a victory lap, has more Epstein news come out.

As soon as the government shutdown was over, more emails from the Epstein files came out and Mike Johnson was force to swear in new Congressperson Adelita Grijalva as the 218th vote on the discharge petition to force the release of the Epstein files.

I started with Trump trying to take a victory lap for the end of the shutdown, but Epstein news coming to ruin his party.

The ghost of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell taunt Trump. Epstein about Trump’s attempt to strongarm (of all people) Lauren Boebert to not sign the petition.  The latest ridiculous thing with Maxwell was that she wanted to be with a puppy in prison.

During the week Epstein dominated the news, but far be it from Trump to try to distract. The distraction menu is about right for how things go in this White House.

Trump’s attempt to distract actually didn’t play out this way.  The day this video came out, Trump essentially told the GOP to vote for the discharge petition in a can’t beat ’em join ’em moment.

History will show how quickly these Epstein files actually do come out, or what tricks Trump still has to avoid the Epstein files.
