A much anticipated Congressional hearing about the Epstein files was held on Feb. 11 this week, and Pam Bondi did her job. She performed for the audience of 1 and did a terrific job. Not so much for the Epstein survivors, but Trump was no doubt very happy with her performance.
Deflection: Her first trick is to blame Merrick Garland. Why didn’t he go after any of these Epstein associates? Let’s make an argument of that, and we’ll waste time arguing about why all the past administrations never did anything.
Change the subject: Unbelievable that Pam Bondi responded to Epstein questions by saying the great Donald Trump as the Dow at 50,000. Somehow that’s going to give the Epstein survivors comfort.
Never apologize: When asked to turn around and apologize to the Epstein survivors sitting right behind her, Pam sat steely faced and filibustered her way through the moment, knowing her boss would never appreciate an apology to the survivors. In their world, the real victims are the men who might be exposed as pedophiles, not the women who survived it.
